Walking Is Good For The Soul
I have always loved walking. When I walk alone it is a great way for me to zone out and meditate. I can walk a couple of miles before thinking, "I haven't a clue where I have just walked", and have to look back. Over the years I have participated in a couple of sponsored walks and found them very rewarding, albeit tiring.
- In 2013 & 2014 I walked 10 miles under the stars in Eastbourne for Chestnut Tree House.
- In 2015 I walked 16 miles to raise money for St Michael's Hospice and Battle Lions (my story).
- In 2017 I walked 26.5 miles including over the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head to raise funds for the MacMillian Cancer Support (my story).
- In 2018 I walked 62 miles from London to Brighton!! For MacMillian Cancer Support (Fundraising page) Read my blogs on this website.
Some of the walks have been really tough; I lost toe nails, cried to myself and swore "Never Again!"
Like child birth - it all gets forgotten and you do it again!
