Who is Tracey Bartlett

Who is Tracey Bartlett?

I'm a long-legged walking lover, who has stepped away from the scenic landscapes of the South Coast of the UK, into the sun-kissed Almanzora Valley in Spain. I’ve always felt a deep connection to the great outdoors, and I'm passionate about walking, positivity and the simple joys of life. I am a wife, grandmother, and dog lover. I enjoy writing, am an amateur artist and love a good glass of red!

An Advocate for Walking

Walking is my sanctuary, where I find peace, clarity, and a profound sense of freedom. When I am navigating a trail, I find profound joy in the views and nature around me and its therapeutic effects. I want more people to enjoy the effects of getting out walking and exploring, so I guide others along the breathtaking routes I’ve come to love. Sharing these experiences and witnessing their transformative impact on others is incredibly rewarding. For me, walking is more than just exercise, it’s meditation, stress relief, and the best way to explore the world around us, and a great way to form a community and friendships. I founded a community called WalkTallSpain and you can follow my walking posts on Instagram

Take a Walk Without Moving a Muscle

I am very conscious of the fact that not everyone can join me on my routes, for many reasons. So, I have started a walking YouTube channel which is another creative outlet for me.  I share the paths I explore so that those who cannot walk them, can still experience the journey. Each route is filmed to hopefully bring the scenery to life. You can relax, follow the views, and feel as though you are right there beside me. Your support on YouTube will help motivate me to continue creating these gentle walk alongs. Every view, comment, and channel subscription will make a real difference. I would love to have you join me over there and enjoy the next route with me.

The Paths I Walked Away From

I often say, “Don’t be envious. My life is what it is today because of what I went through yesterday.” Life hasn’t always been about sunshine and sangria. I’ve faced severe eczema head on, school bullying, physical assault, an abusive marriage, and workplace harassment. Each challenging path has helped shape me, made me resilient, and inspired me to appreciate the joy I find today. Those experiences taught me valuable lessons and guided me toward true love, inner peace, and a passion for walking. I like to draw on my experiences to empathise and help others. And I think that comes across in my writing and compassion toward my walking community and beyond. Writing has been a significant part of my life. From crafting mini stories in school, where my teacher would urge me to “slow down,” writing for a local magazine back in the UK, writing blog & social media content for clients - to updating this website "FeedsMySoul" which is my corner of the internet where I share my personal reflections & advice. I'm hoping this will become more than a website ~ I am hoping it's a source of inspiration for others.

Artist?

I took up art in October 2024, and it opened a new space in my life. Each piece is part experiment and part exploration as I learn how to express myself in ways I never have before. I enjoy seeing what appears on the page when I let go of perfection, which I have found hard to be honest. My walking has always grounded me, but art is teaching me to notice even more detail than before, and create from instinct. This relatively new journey is helping me reconnect with playfulness, colour, and the simple joy of learning something new. Find my art on Instagram

Passionate About Giving Back

As Anne Frank wisely said, "No one has ever become poor by giving."
Over the years, I’ve enjoyed raising awareness and funds for worthy causes through actions rather than donations. Some of my proudest achievements have included:

That's all folks....

So, that's a little about me. Hopefully you will take a look through my website and find something that resonates. Or you will connect with me on one of my social media channels. Thank you for taking an interest in me x
